Hours of Operation

The Heritage Museum is open on the first and third Sunday afternoons from 1:00 until 4:00. The Museum is also generally open every Tuesday morning from 9:00 to noon.

The construction of our elevator is finally complete and we are now handicapped accessible! Those needing the elevator are asked to enter the Museum toward the rear of the building.

2018 Photo Contest

The Mascoutah Historical Society is pleased to announce the opening of the 2018 Photography Contest. This year's theme is "Mascoutah - History in the Making." Submissions must be received by Sunday, July 15, 2018. You DO NOT have to be a resident of Mascoutah in order to enter. The photos must be taken with a 10 mile radius of the city, but cannot be within another city's jurisdiction or on Scott AFB.

The opening of the Photo Contest Exhibit is scheduled for July 29 at 1:00 p.m. Please join us to enjoy this year's entries, and to vote on your favorite for the People's Choice Award.

Fair St. Clair 200: A Countywide Celebration

The Mascoutah Historical Society is joining with 21 other organizations throughout St. Clair County to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Illinois' statehood. Please plan on joining us in O'Fallon from 10:00 until 4:00 on Saturday, August 25. The event is free and open to the public, with many child-friendly activities planned. Exhibits of historical artifacts from the county's 200+ years of history will also be displayed.

Reservations are not required, but more information can be found by clicking on the "Register Now" button on the left.
